What our residents are saying

logo
Two onsite gyms with good equipment's and, music room with plenty instruments. The views from level 52 are amazing especially at sunset and you can see hot air balloons during summer. Very close to public transport with the building of the new station at the top of the street being completed. Staff are friendly and helpful, same people on throughout the week so you get familiar with them. The girls are usually friendlier then the guys Mia, Alett , Marley are super helpful and go out of the way always.

Only downside is half of reception has been closed in order to put the card only access gates in place which can make leaving and entering the building busier because people are tapping.

Stayed here for my first year of school and the staff are what make the building, Workers like Kim and Marli ( who are at the desk daily ) make the experience of living away from home so much easier as they are always up for a conversation. They are knowledgeable about the building and always found a way to go above and beyond throughout my stay. Room is nice for the weekly rent and the music room is a nice touch as well !

having the cafe on the ground floor makes all the difference for travels to class after late night study
they do events with free doughnuts in reception which is yummy 😁

I love the staff here, extremely friendly and helpful people. I dislocated my ankle whilst living in melbourne and they all went the extra mile to help me with bringing my delivery to my doorstep. Especially Fotis, Lucas Fransisco, Carissa and Marli. They have helped me a major deal. I would recommend it here!

Living at Scape for the past three years has been an amazing experience. From the start, Fotis has been incredibly supportive and always willing to help, making my stay even more enjoyable. Franklin is a fantastic place to live, the management is attentive, and the property is always well taken care of. It’s definitely one of the best options for students in Melbourne CBD. I’m loving my time here and truly appreciate everything the team does. Thank you!

Stayed at Scape Franklin for over 2 years as a university student.
Great experience, especially for students moving out for the first time or arriving in a foreign country since all the utilities are provided.
All the facilities (gym, laundromat...) worked almost perfectly for the 2 years i was there.
Staff were always very friendly and helpful, even when it was a busy period.
Rooms were comfortable and the view was great. Also in a great spot in the city since its close to all the unis and malls.
Only downside was its a bit expensive and the wifi was occasionally unreliable.
Still highly recommend any future uni students to stay here as your first home in Melbourne

The easiest way to pay your rent is through our fortnightly direct debit system. We also have full upfront payment options. If you wish to pay the full rent amount in one lump sum, you can do this with a credit or debit card at Reception or by bank transfer. International transfers or credit card payments may result in a surcharge from your bank.

The bond is a security deposit registered with the appropriate state-based authority and covers any damage you may cause to the room. Don’t worry, this excludes normal wear and tear. You will receive an email 10 days before your contract start date asking you to pay a security deposit through the
Resident Portal
. It is refundable at the end of your stay with us if there are no damages, your room is left clean and there is no outstanding rent. You will receive an email when your bond is ready to be returned. Release of your bond from the state-based authority will be transferred into an Australian bank account of your choice.

We don’t have a curfew for residents over the age of 18.

International residents under the age of 18 must sign a curfew between 9:30pm to 10:00pm. If students miss curfew, our team will follow up with the student and visit their room until they are located to make sure everything is ok. The Next Generation team communicates all curfew breaches to the educational institution on the spot, or the following day, depending on the nature of the breach.
